About the Role: The Finance & Support Lead is a member of the Leadership Team, and leads, manages and is accountable for all accounting personnel and processes. This candidate will oversee daily transaction management, AR, AP, cash flow management, monthly closeout, and payroll as well as implementing and maintaining financial processes and controls. Additionally, this role supports ongoing analysis of key business drivers, trends, and performance indicators and processes to enhance accountability and support operational decision making. Key to success is the ability to manage people, processes, and technology to drive productivity, report accurately, and deliver results.
Job Duties:
Lead, manage, and accountable for the performance and results of the Finance & Support Team and overall Accounting Operations.
Build and continuously enhance relationships with the Leadership Team and Direct Reports.
Observe, evaluate and enhance accounting processes and procedures; develop plans for continuous improvement.
Establish strong cross-functional communication and collaboration across all departments to include service, install, operations, warehouse, and customer service.
Manage and oversee payroll, daily transaction management, monthly closeout, variance analysis and the overall accuracy and timeliness of all accounting related activities.
Track and record all accounts receivable accurately, while also generating and managing accounts payable invoicing.
Ensure adherence to payment processing requirements for job scheduling, continuation, and close out.
Verify general ledger accounts, investigate and correct account discrepancies, and review daily revenue activity list to ensure accountability.
Produce monthly forecasts and annual budgets to assist the day-to-day accounting procedures and operations.
Manage relationships with 3rd party vendor bookkeeping and financial analysis team.
Management and ensure processes are in place to track performance metrics and obtain objectives.
Supervise and ensure the accuracy of bi-weekly payroll to include accurate, high volume job costing.
Qualifications Required
Proven team leader, experienced in managing direct reports.
Track record of accounting management progression and success with a strong understanding of small business accounting and finance principles.
Experience leading monthly closeout, budgeting, variance analysis, and cash flow management.
Experience managing payroll with performance based pay and job costing.
Detail focused, self-starter that gets things done.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, math skills, relationship skills, and customer service skills.
Ability to distill important numbers and convey a strategic view of performance.
Technologically savvy, learns and implements new software and systems quickly; advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with accounting software such as Quickbooks.
Exceptional knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
Able to work out of our Orange County office daily.
Preferred
Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related fields. Certification in Accounting, Financial Management, or other related areas a plus.
3-5 in Accounting Management Roles.
Experience working with or exposure to a company that follows the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS)
2-3 years within a Home Services company.
Experience using Service Titan or similar home services support software.
Strong understanding of plumbing products and service invoicing.
