We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Controller to join our growing plumbing company. The Controller will oversee all financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting, compliance, and strategic financial planning. This individual will play a key role in supporting the company’s growth by providing financial insights and maintaining a robust financial structure.

Responsibilities:
Financial Management:- Oversee the preparation of financial statements, including profit and loss, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Monitor and manage daily financial operations, such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger entries.
- Develop and enforce financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Lead the budgeting process, working with departmental heads to create accurate forecasts.
- Analyze budget variances and provide actionable recommendations to improve financial performance.
Cost Management:
- Track and analyze costs related to plumbing projects and operations.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality and efficiency.
Compliance and Reporting:
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations.
- Coordinate and manage audits, tax filings, and other compliance requirements.
Strategic Financial Planning:
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to the leadership team to support strategic decisions.
- Assist in evaluating new business opportunities, including mergers, acquisitions, or expansions.
Team Leadership:
- Supervise and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with operations and project management teams to ensure financial alignment across departments.
Requirements/Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in financial management or accounting, preferably in construction, plumbing, or a related industry.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards.
- Proficiency in financial software (QuickBooks, Paycom).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities.
